Macaroni Kid readers chose Lake Sammamish State Park to be the top award recipient in the “Most Loved Park or Playground” category! This is the second year in a row that the state park has won first place.

The Recycled Art Project is a salmon constructed entirely from tin cans. More than 100 children in Issaquah helped to create the sculpture under the guidance of artist Gabi Philips.

Parkadilly 2017 attendees are helping to create the final Recycled Art Tree Structure. This year visitors will also be encouraged to help out by attaching the painted scales of the salmon to the sculpture. Additionally, information about local salmon population, conservation projects and their success will be displayed around the art piece to provide some local environmental information.
