Ancestral Lands Movement Walk

Learn about the Ancestral Land Movement with our DIY “Walk in the Park”. The walk begins at Sunset Beach and end at Tibbets Beach.

The Snoqualmie Tribe’s Ancestral Lands Movement seeks to spread awareness of the Snoqualmie people who have lived in the southern Salish Sea region since time immemorial. The walk shares the significance of these lands and provides information on how people can help the Tribe in respecting, restoring, and protecting these lands.

Recreational Impacts on Tribal Lands

As the Salish Sea region has grown in population, the Snoqualmie Tribe's ancestral lands have been heavily impacted by recreation. This impact is especially apparent at the popular trails in the Snoqualmie corridor area, where increased visitation has resulted in a degradation of the land.

Bring your friends and family to the park to learn about all you can do to protect our shared wild spaces.

The walk takes place from September 28-October 28.
