FLSSP 2025 Year in Review
In 2025 with the support of our partners FLSSP made significant progress toward our strategic plan goals. With the help of over 157 volunteers that gave over 566 volunteer hours we maintained 4 habitat restoration sites, planted over 175 trees and shrubs and held 8 public restoration events. In the summer we hosted 3 public litter pick ups cleaning up over 250 gallons of litter in the park. We also continued the tradition of fun events in the park welcoming over 2500+ people to the park.
Our events are always a big hit during the year. Polar Plunge was one of the largest in 2025 and reinvigorated us all with a cold plunge in the lake. We celebrated Camp Smore at the Meadows Shelter welcoming 75 families to camp out under the stars for one night with us. We invited Pacific Science Center to teach us about all things space and the Seattle Astronomical Society joined us with telescopes so we could explore our solar system more. We launched Spring into Adventure to motivate us to get outside and we introduced our Lakeside Lecture series to much success. We hosted 22 community events at the park in 2025 and had a great time with all our friends and neighbors at the park.
We are so proud of everything that we have been able to accomplish in 2025 for our community and for our beloved Lake Sammamish State Park. We hope you can join us in 2026 to make our park even better and our work even more fun and effective for our community. To join us at the park check out our event calendar here. We look forward to welcoming you to the park in 2026!
