Run With the Kokanee 5 & 10K

Run through the fall colors of Lake Sammamish State Park and support Kokanee Salmon recovery work of the Bellevue-Issaquah Chapter of Trout Unlimited by participating in Run With the Kokanee.

To avoid construction in the park, the course is a 5k out-and-back along the smoothly-paved East Lake Sammamish Trail.  Participants in the 5k will do this out-and-back once, and 10k participants will do it twice.

Schedule

8:30am – Check-in and day-of-event registration opens

9:30am – Race Start

10:30am – Raffle and awards

12:00pm – Course closes

Aid Station
There will be one aid station at the turn-around point, about 1.6 miles into the course. There will be an additional aid station near the start/finish for the 10k runners, making for three aid stations on the 10k course.

Aid stations offer water, electrolyte drink, and some carbohydrate-rich or salty foods, such as cookies, pieces of energy bar, gels, chews, chips, bagel, fruity candy, fig bars, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and/or bananas.

Kokanee salmon are unique to Lake Sammamish and are in danger of becoming extinct.

Parking and the race start are at the boat launch.

Please note that parking at this park requires a Discover Pass. If you purchase a Discover Pass online, you can print out a temporary pass before your pass arrives in the mail. There are also many vendors that sell passes in-person. See the Discover Pass website for details.
