Families, pitch your tent at Camp S’more!
It’s a hot summer night and the best place to be is right on the beach or under a shady tree at Lake Sammamish State Park. Camp S’more is back for a second year and families will be able to pitch a tent and stay all night!
Camp S’more is for first-time campers or those with experience who just want a simple night under the stars. All they’ll need to bring is a tent and bedding. A BBQ dinner and a yogurt/granola bar breakfast will be provided.
But there is fun included, too! Prizes will be awarded in the tent decorating contest and the sand castle building contest. Bring your smart phone for geocaching instruction. For a moderate fee, take an evening kayak tour with Issaquah Paddlesports (limited availability.) Cook marshmallows (provided) for s’mores over the beach campfire and join in our sing a long. Early risers are invited to join in the 6:30 a.m. bird walk.
Cost is $40 per tent plus $15 per person. Campers will also need a Discover Pass or pay the $10 daily entrance fee.
The Aug. 4 event will begin with tent set-up and registration 3-5 p.m. Tents must be down by 10 a.m. Sunday. No pets are allowed.
Only 70 tent sites are available; pre-registration and payment is required, first come first served. For more information or to register, visit Eventbrite
