Summer fun at Lake Sammamish State Park
Summer time is upon us and there is a lot of fun to be had Lake Sammamish State Park this season. It is a very busy time of year at the park with the majority of the 2.1 million visits to Lake Sammamish occuring during the next several months. We encourage you all to come out to the park and explore the wonders of our urban state park. Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park (FLSSP) is hosting a few summertime events at the park if you are interested in joining us for a few hours of fun and/or to help our park thrive.
To kick off the summer of fun FLSSP will be hosting our annual Camp S’more event on July 25th - 26th. We will be camping at the Meadows Shelter and enjoying a fun assortment of games, art projects and more. Cougar Mtn Zoo will be joining us in the evening to talk about all things wild so come on out and enjoy Camp S’more 2026 - Wild Nights! We only have 5 tent sites left so make sure you register here today. Registration closes July 6th.
Beyond our annual camp out at the park, FLSSP will be hosting several other fun family friendly events this summer. Join us for yoga in the park or sound bowls on Sunset Beach, come out for Lakeside Lectures to learn about our community around us, or learn to make jam using the blackberries that grow in abundance. You can also help us keep Lake Sammamish State Park clean this summer by joining us for a litter pick up at the park. We are always adding in more events to the calendar so please visit our events calendar to learn more or see what is new at the park.
