Give Big for Lake Sammamish State Park!

Today, marks the start of the 48 hour giving event - Washington Give Big. We are so grateful for all the support that are generous champions, volunteers and donors have shown in the past year - thank you!  This Give Big season Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is seeking to raise $20,000 dollars to help purchase and install two water bottle filling stations at Sunset Beach and Tibbets Beach at Lake Sammamish State Park. We are so thankful to the generous donors who have already kicked us off by getting us 5% of the way ($1000) to our $20,000 goal - wow!  We still have a long way to go and you can help us get there by donating today and telling your friends and family to support our Just Add Water Campaign to create a cleaner and more friendly state park through the installation of water bottle filling stations at Lake Sammamish State Park.

Over the course of the next two days we would love to add your name to our page of donors and ask you to consider making a generous donation to support our efforts and our work at Lake Sammamish State Park. Your donation to Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park this GIveBig season will go directly to the purchase and install of the water bottle filling stations at Lake Sammamish State Park. That means your donation will stay right here in your local community helping your community keep Lake Sammamish State Park clean and healthy for all wildlife and humans by reducing one time plastic water bottle use, and helping your family stay hydrated this summer season while enjoying the parks beaches, playground and picnic stations. 

In the last year, our community has come together to raise funds for the acoustic panels painted with scenes of the park by two local artist, the pick up and removal of over 1500 gallons of trash at the park, the planting of over 250+ native trees and shrubs, the removal of countless invasive blackberry bushes all in an effort to transform, maintain and support this special place in our community. THANK YOU! We are so grateful for you and we know that you can help us meet this community need now!
