A Weekend of Restoration and Story Time at Lake Sammamish State Park

Come on out to Lake Sammamish State Park boat launch area on October 18th to help FLSSP clear out blackberries from a small site adjacent to the parking area for the boat launch. We are prepping this site for a planting event happening in November. We are working to remove blackberries and other invasives to enhance the native ecosystem in this area and to help mitigate impacts from the recently needed boat launch repair that occurred this past summer.

The restoration event will be at the boat launch just past the round about on East Lake Sammamish Parkway. We will be holding the event rain or shine so please come prepared for the weather. You can register to attend the FLSSP restoration party here and we hope to see you there!

We will also be welcoming Mermaid Luna Lee for story time on October 18th from 1 - 2 pm at the main park. Mermaid Luna Lee will be sharing stories from the sea as we learn more about our connection to our natural environment. To register to attend story time please visit our event page here.
