Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park gets asked many questions about the park itself and today we are going to answer one of those frequently asked questions: are dogs allowed at Lake Sammamish State Park? Yes!
Dogs are allowed at Lake Sammamish State Park as long as you follow some simple rules. Dogs must be on leash at all times and under physical control will walking the paths of the park and dogs are not allowed in the designated swim areas (Tibbetts and Sunset Beach). That’s it! You can walk your dog throughout the park and as members of your family they, too, can enjoy a relaxing picnic at one of the many picnic sites in the state park. Please remember to pick up after your pet and bag all pet waste while at the park and never leave your dog in your car while at the park!
