Park Restoration

Come to Lake Sammamish State Park with a team of colleagues or friends and help us restore the park by removing invasive species and planting native trees and bushes. Areas that have been previously restored and planted with native plants also need continued maintenance to prevent the re-establishment of invasive blackberry. Make a big difference, enjoy a day outside with this fun, hands-on opportunity and learn about invasive species and all that is being done to restore areas of the park to their natural beauty.

Special Event Support

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park hosts a variety of events throughout the year and we always need volunteers to set up, staff tables, and break down. All of the events are a lot of fun and service credit is provided to high school students. Some events over the past year include Parkadilly, a kids concert & fair, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball and Camp S’more Family Camp Out just to name a few.

Park Beautification

Help us keep Lake Sammamish Park beautiful by coming out to help plant trees, flowers and assist with gardening. This would be a great activity for a group of people who love gardening and have a little bit of time to give.
