Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park will be hosting several events for volunteers this spring. If you love the park and want to make a difference, come out with your friends, family, or colleagues and help us beautify and improve the gardens and habitat for both people and animals.

The work will consist of weeding, mulching, blackberry removal, and planting. We can accommodate 12 volunteers per slot.

Refreshments and tools provided.

All activities will be held in accordance with King County and Washington State COVID regulations.

Available slots:

March 27 10am-12pm

April 24 10am-12pm

April 24 12:30pm-2:30pm

For safety, volunteers are required to wear:

  • Long pants made of sturdy material

  • Sturdy, close-toed shoes

  • Gloves

  • Mask

In addition, we recommend that participants bring:

  • Warm layers, especially during the fall, winter, and spring

  • Rain gear

  • Long-sleeved shirt

  • At least one full water bottle

  • Sun hat
